The Environment Agency (EA) announced in September 2004 the following planned lock closure programme for the Winter 2004/2005.

In addition to the works mentioned above, other major works that are planned in 2004/2005 include the following but it is not expected that lock closures will be required. However, the works could cause inconvenience or delays to river traffic.

The closures and works mentioned above may be subject to further variation due to adverse weather conditions or unforseen engineering difficulties.

River users are advised to contact the Local Navigation Offices (See below) before undertaking journey along the River during the period from November to March.
